Church cleaning for Christmas will be on Wednesday 11th December at 9.30. Men and women welcome to do the brass and dust.

READERS & SACRISTANS 
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and deepen your faith? We invite you to become a part of our parish team! We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist as Sacristans—helping prepare the church for Mass—and Readers to share the Word during services. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow parishioners and contribute to our worship in a special way.
Simply share your interest with Merilyn Carney or Carolyn Holland. No experience is needed—we’ll provide all the training you need!
Come and make a difference in our faith community. We would love to have you on board!
Sunday 1st December Saturday 14th December Christmas lunch will be on Sunday 1st December. Lunch will follow our 11am Mass, starting at 12 pm. Cost $ 8.00 per person. Names and payment by November 24th. This is needed for catering purposes. If you can help with the Lunch, please speak to Carol. Prayer meeting weekly on Mondays, will be held at 10am at Rylstone followed by a cuppa. Rylstone: Donations are being accepted for a new organ for St. Malachy’s church Rylstone. Donations will be acknowledged. Please contact Fr. Owen, the Parish Office or Louis. You are invited to join the Mackillop Singers. Practice on Thursday at 10am. Contact Lou or the Parish Office for further details.

Bishop Michael's Advent Message
What are we waiting for?
Dear Friends in Christ,
“Advent” means “coming.”
In the four weeks leading up to Christmas, we can prepare to celebrate properly the wonderful feast of Christmas: the first coming of the Son of God into our broken world to begin to change our sorrows into joy.
It is also a time to look forward to the day when he will come again, with just and merciful judgment, to fulfil his promise of a new creation.
And yet, he is already among us, already building his Kingdom, even though he is unrecognised by many. We can look for him now in the community that bears his name, his Church. He is among us in the poor and afflicted and accompanies us in our works for peace and justice.
What are we waiting for? Let’s look for him today: pray; read the Bible; come to Confession and Mass; and go out to do good for others.
The better we celebrate Advent, the more deeply we’ll celebrate Christmas.
